Blog Sounds Better Than Journal
LiveJournal is cool and all, but having a "blog" sounds a little bit more professional in my opinion. Now my thoughts and opinions have more merit as a blog than as a journal.
The NBA All-Star Game used to have a lot more attention back in the day it seems. Now, it is just some nonsense game with players travelling all over the place. No doubt there are stars on the court, but they don't play as competitive as they used to I think. Maybe I'm just bitter cause both Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton don't frequent the All-Star roster as they used to in the mid-90s. The current players all seem to have this, "I wanna be a superstar" charisma around them. And with that, Nike and Reebok and Addidas all have multiple stars promoting and sporting their gear. Nike used to be what, Jordan, Barkley and Ewing? How many stars can this league have? Steve Nash and Shaq are on pace to be the MVP's this season, and neither of them have major, nationwide shoe or clothing campaigns. Yes, Duncan and Lebron are MVP candidates, but I think in the "valuable to the team" sense, Shaq and Nash blow away Duncan and Lebron. And how many of these foreign cats have big shoe deals? I think Dirk is Nike, but what does Yao Ming rock on the court? I'm rambling though....
I'ma cut this debut blog short cause I'm procrastinating on my Sociology reading.
I'll end it with a plug for my radio show:
This week though, I have 3 straight nights of shows:
Wednesday 2/23 -- 5-7pm
Thursday 2/24 -- 7-10pm
and Friday 2/25 -- 9-11pm as always.
